What would you change in the "Game of Thrones" storyline if you were one of the writers of the TV series?
08.06.2025 05:14

NO YAQEN H'GAR!
Also, Selyse should wear brighter, nicer clothes than the peasant rags the showrunners have her dressed in. Like it or not, Selyse is a Queen, so she should look like a Queen.
Tyrion and Illyrio stop at the Brothel, where Illyrio planned to meet some people for the trip to Meereen. They temporarily separate, Tyrion becomes fascinated with prostitutes, then retires with one of them, the most beautiful, in a private room.
Kquorans, can you please write a story?
The Wall. Jon Snow, Stannis Baratheon, and the Wildlings.
The crew fights off the attack, and the captain explains that they will have to change course and sail through Tolos to avoid another encounter with the pirates.
Before the first kill, Kindly Man gives Arya a new face, just like in the book.
Robin Thicke marries April Love Geary in romantic wedding after nearly 7-year engagement - Page Six
Sansa, still as Alayne Stone, moves into a wealthy house in White Harbor owned by Littlefinger. I would include three scenes of Sansa playing chess. In the first scene, Sansa is losing, in the second, she is playing but still losing, and in the season finale, she beats Littlefinger at chess, for the sake of symbolism that the girl is a quick learner.
The company comes across a Merchant Caravan after four days of travel, but the only wagon willing to take them is a wagon carrying traveling actors who are heading to Volantis and then Meereen.
So, in season 5… let’s… put all the lines.
Why is it rare for someone to despise both the Democrats and Republicans?
Arianna seduces the guard who was guarding Myrcella, who sends the rest on patrol, thinking that Princess Arianna will not wish harm to Myrcella.
In the TV series, Tommen is around 14 years old and has already reached manhood by medieval standards. He fell head over heels in love with Margaery, had sex with her, spent more time in her company than with anyone else.
Jorah's hands are untied so he can help fight. Jorah and Quentyn fight bravely, but there are too many Stone Men. Quentyn runs to the wheel and turns the ship towards the shore. The ship runs aground, and the captain orders the ship abandoned.
Exercise improves colon cancer survival, high-quality trial finds - Ars Technica
Ser Barristan asks Quentyn to follow Jorah's advice, but Quentyn does not want to return home empty-handed. He says he will stay here until Daenerys returns.
Tommen should protect Margaery like a man, not like a sad piece of crap.
Ellaria Sand escorts Oberyn Martell's body with the funeral caravan from King's Landing. The caravan is to be met by hundreds of people on the streets of the Shadow City, located near Sunspear. Already at the castle, she is met by Doran Martell, his daughter Arianne, his sons Quentyn and Trystane, Myrcella herself, the Dornish nobility, and the castle guards. Ellaria falls to her knees in tears before Doran, who comforts her. Myrcella is horrified and begins to cry. Arianne looks angrily at the coffin with Oberyn's body and is already plotting something.
Arya is able to kill Meryn Trant, but not in the Brothel as in the TV series, but at sunset, on the waterfront. She slits his throat, then dumps his body in the water.
In the show they literally spawn like in a video game, so this fight makes no sense and was created purely for the sake of action.
Instead of going there himself, John sends Alisser Thorne, Tormund, about ten Watchmen, and Ollie as a cabin boy to Hardhome. The scene at Hardhome could be set up the same way as in the TV series, but instead of Tormund's nonsense, Alliser Thorne, through gritted teeth of hatred, announces that the Wildlings are given the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch's blessing to cross the Wall.
How did it feel to take your first gay BBC?
Arya kills the Old Man of Insurance, just like in the book.
Illyrio arranges for Tyrion, Jon Connington, and Jorah Mormont to accompany them on the journey. Tyrion agrees, Jorah is not happy.
King's Landing. Cersei, Jaime, Margaery, Loras, Tommen.
Why am I not attracted to masculine men? Why do I like more feminine attributes on a man?
The abduction of Myrcella must be successful and must take place in the dead of night, not in broad daylight.
Jorah Mormont is not to kidnap Tyrion, but the other way around. Tyrion and Illyrio Mopatis are to take Jorah Captive and transport him to Pentos.
Tyrion explains that the two women he loved turned out to be whores, and that's probably why he's so drawn to whores. The prostitute smiles at him and says she can't wait to see how good he is. They are having sex.
In the morning, Doran takes the snakes, Ellaria, Arianne, Myrcella, Trystane, his most loyal people, and leaves Sunspear.
Jon sends Tormund beyond the Wall in Episode 2. In Episode 6, Tormund returns with about five hundred men, and says he has learned that most of the Wildlings have gone to Hardhome.
If the Sparrows want to lasso Margaery, Tommen orders the guards to seize the Sparrows first before they explain the evidence found in the Queen's chambers.
Why has my ex moved on so fast after years of being together with me?
Cersei and Jaime should not receive packages from Dorne.
Quentyn asks permission to remain in the city for a few weeks before heading back to Dorne, Daenerys grants permission and asks Ser Baristan Selmy to look after the boy.
Arya works with Waif at the apothecary.
These are all scenes from the books, and they could be cut down a bit to avoid stretching out screen time and episode length, but they make sense. Stannis's march on Winterfell in the show doesn't make sense, but in the books it does.
Illyrio's man introduces himself as Jon Connington.
Missandei is supposed to be a more cheerful and positive girl than she is shown in the series.
What are some sad truths about life?
On the way to Pentos, in Kroyan the ship is attacked by Stone Men.
The Sons of the Harpy should not be in the Meereen Colosseum.
Third, the scene of meeting Dorne should be done through Ellaria Sand.
Mance the Ryder shouldn’t be burned.
The Harpies' attack can be carried out in a more cramped and darkened room, and there should be a maximum of three Unsullied, including Grey Worm. Ser Barristan and twenty other Unsullied come to their aid. The harpies scatter, but it is too late. Two Unsullied are killed, and Grey Worm is mortally wounded and bleeding.
Ser Barristan Salmy must live and Grey Worm must die.
Tyrion leaves the room to get more wine. He is recognized by Jorah Mormont. Jorah watches him to make sure the man is who he thinks he is. At night, he bursts into the room, demands the whore to leave, then tries to kidnap Tyrion, but Tyrion stops him with his sarcastic remark and advises him to look back. Jorah looks back and sees Illyrio in the company of three people, among whom was Quentyn Martell. Illyrio greets Ser Jorah, and Quentyn demands that Jorah drop his sword. Tyrion smiles wickedly and says that he is pleased to meet Ser Jorah.
Quentyn Martell must propose an alliance to Daenerys, but Dany politely declines because she has already married a local nobleman, Hizdahr zo Loraq.
Secondly, Dorne's geography should be more diverse. Dorne's capital is called Sunspear!
My ex moved on so fast. How can I overcome the pain?
At the Colosseum, Jorah and Tyrion are to meet Daenerys.
I think Missandei should be a distraction for Dany, who rules all day and then just makes small talk with her handmaiden and friend in the evening to unwind.
After landing in Volantis, the entire company sails to Meereen. Tyrion asks Jorah why he is so far away from Daenerys, as he has heard that he has become her loyal servant. Reluctantly, Jorah explains that he once betrayed Queen Dany and must now atone for his crime. He explains that he thought that if he brought Tyrion to her, he would be forgiven. Tyrion notes Jorah's family resemblance to his father, Jeor Mormont. Tyrion also says that Jeor died beyond the wall. Jorah grieves for his father and asks to be alone. Tyrion leaves and... grins evilly. Yes, Tyrion is slowly becoming a bad guy.
Meereen. Daenerys, Barristan Selmy, Missandei, Grey Worm.
In Meereen, Quentyn and the Dornishmen are separated from Tyrion and Jorah, who are being bought out of a troupe of actors by the owners of the fighting pits.
When Margaery is arrested, the High Septon may demand Loras's presence, but Kevan Lannister volunteers to stand trial in Loras's place, leaving command of his garrison to Jaime.
Sand Snakes should be deep and well-developed characters.
Next comes a scene that vaguely resembles a scene from a TV series, but the context is completely different. Doran speaks to Arianne, as in the books. Arianne demands acions from her father. Doran wisely points out that any action is futile, since the Trial by Combat was legal and Oberyn volunteered. Arianne notes that when Princess Elia and her children were brutally murdered, he too did nothing. Doran angrily stops the conversation, then demands that Arianna never mention it again. Areo Hotah carries him off the balcony.
Tyrion advises Quentin and his companions not to do anything stupid, since the Harpies are still there.
Samwell Tarly, Maester Aemon, Gilly.
Myrcella is still depressed about her grandfather and older brother dying, she hardly smiles, she is depressed and sad, so Tristan wants to make her laugh and cheer her up so that the relationship between the two young people is believable.
Arya tells the Kindly Man that Arya Stark of Winterfell just killed Meryn Trant, rather than hiding it. The Kindly Man nods and orders the Waif to bring milk for Arya. Arya drinks it and wakes up blind the next morning.
At the last moment, the coronation is interrupted by Areo Hotah, who bursts into the room along with Tristane, who followed them, and Ellaria Sand, who told Doran everything. Arianne and the Sand Snakes are arrested. In the confusion, the guard Arianne seduced tries to stab Myrcella with his sword, but misses, and the blade cuts her ear and cheek. They try to catch the guard, but he escapes through the window.
Oh, that’s a good question. But I’d take a long time starting with season 5 instead of just focusing on ending, so… if you mind me express my butthurt? No? Alright. But remember, this is going to be a very long post.
Now Imagine… The fake Mance is brought out with a bag over his head, lifted onto a pyre, and burned. The moment from the TV series where Jon shoots the burned man with his bow could be used, and just like in the TV series, Stannis scolds Jon for giving Mance the gift of mercy. Then, outside Castle Black, Stannis, Davos, Melisandre, and a few of Stannis's loyalists meet Mance. A confused Mance asks Stannis why he left him alive, and Stannis smirks slyly, implying that the One Rightful King has plans for him
Margaery should be arrested for Unfaithfulness to her husband, not for lying to protect her brother.
Arya does not require training or act like an obnoxious, annoying teenager, but obediently carries out the tasks that the Kindly Man gives her.
So there is no Bronn, no idiotic line in Dorne, which is not something one wants to remember at all, and Jaime is busy with business.
I know it's controversial, but... why should Grey Worm remain in history for long at all? Jacob Anderson is a good actor, but this role is not for him. He lacks the charisma needed to stick in a TV series for long, and the dialogue that was written for him is superficial and formulaic.
Of the 50-man crew, all were killed. Quentyn and his two companions, Illyrio, Jorah, Tyrion, and one of Illyrio's men were the only survivors.
If you don't follow the book's image, at least make it interesting. Missandei in the TV series is very boring, despite the fact that the actress Nathalie Emmanuel is very beautiful, her character lacks depth, strong-willed character, intelligence.
Stannis should not burn Shireen.
Daario Naharis is to be sent to Yunkai to investigate the situation and negotiate with the local nobility.
Stannis must leave his daughter, Queen Selyse, and Melisaende at the Wall.
Maester Aemon does not say that he is worse, but is glad that he has finally seen summer. He goes out into the pouring rain and dies in the rain, falling into the water.
First of all, no plans to kill Myrcella!!!!!!
Cersei is arrested on charges of adultery against King Robert, as well as plotting to kill King Robert.
As emotional as this scene is, I would have thought that if it had been another wildling who had been burned instead of Mance, it would have had more impact on the rest of the plot.
Myrcella does not want to be Queen. Arianne understands this and understands that it is against the Crown, which means the Lannisters will go to war with Dorne.
Arianne Martell watches from the balcony as Myrcella kneels and begs forgiveness from Ellaria Sand on behalf of her family. Ellaria just hugs Myrcella and claims that she is innocent. Myrcella continues to cry bitterly, also from the loss of her brother and grandfather. Trystane looks helplessly at the women, then accidentally catches the gaze of his older sister. He sees the fire burning in Arianna's eyes and realizes she's up to something.
Braavos. Arya, Faceless Men.
Queen Selyse is meant to be much colder and more arrogant than she is portrayed in the TV series.
Arya is allowed into the House of Black and White immediately, rather than being left outside overnight.
Jeyne Poole should be introduced into the show and be introduced as Sansa Stark instead of Arya Stark as in the books, so as not to stray too far from show canon.
Dorne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Consequently, Jaime does not go to Dorne to rescue Myrcella, but remains in King's Landing, preparing for a campaign against the Riverlands. After Tywin's death, Cersei must remove him from his position as Kingsguard and send him on a campaign. Tywin Lannister's death not only hit the Crown hard, but also sparked rebellions in the Riverlands and the Vale.
Tyrion has no right to travel to Meereen through Valyria.
Gilly and Sam arrive in Oldtown in the final episode of Season 5.
In the books, he was taken hostage by the local slave traders, so why not carry that over to the TV series?
After several fights, Drogon flies into the arena and eats the corpses. Hizdahr panics and flees, and Drogon burns him. Seeing this horror, Daenerys runs to Drogon, jumps on him and tries to make him fly away. She succeeds and Drogon flies away, leaving the others in the dark.
Of course, I would add some depth to his character, for example, let Ser Barristan teach him the history of the land he is supposed to go to, as well as the customs and traditions there.
Tyrion and Missandei need to start talking to each other. If I'm going to believe in anyone's romance, it's the romance between Tyrion and Missandei in the TV series.
Arriane asks Ellaria Sand to participate in her plan for revenge against the Lannisters, but Ellaria asks how. Arianne mentions Myrcella. Ellaria refuses to listen and demands that Myrcella be left alone. Ellaria shows a glass jar containing Gregor Clegane's head in embalming fluid. Arianne is shocked, and Ellaria mentions that Tywin Lannister, Amory Lorch, Gregor Clegane and Robert Baratheon are dead and there is no one left to take revenge of. Arianna leaves silently, but not after Ellaria threatens to tell Prince Doran everything if something will happen to Mycella.
I mean... are you serious? This cursed place, covered in smoke, from which no one has ever returned... Let Tyrion see this place from afar when he boards the ship heading to Meereen.
Illyrio Mopatis should be brought back to the TV series. The mansion where Tyrion is hiding is his, so what the hell?
The Meereen sequence should end with a silent shot of a dying rider on a pale horse approaching the city.
I was very disappointed that Prince Tristane was not on allert, did not realize that his bride was now in danger, did not look around to see this danger. These two were just walking around like they were walking in a fucking park!
Sam arrives in Braavos with Gilly and Maester Aemon. The line could be merged with Arya's.
Jon has no idea where the Wildlings might have fled to when Mance's army was routed. Therefore, he must give the go-ahead to someone who is familiar with the wildlings and has a rough idea of their location, or ask Tormund to find out where they might have gone.
The Waif is not antagonistic towards Arya, but teaches her the Braavosi dialect, poisons, lies, acting, explains the faith of the Faceless Men, and tells the history of the Faceless Men.
I believe the burning of Shireen should take place without Stannis's knowledge. It must be carried out by Melisandre, without even the participation of Queen Selyse.
After Daenerys disappears, Tyrion, Barristan Selmy, Quentyn Martell, Jorah Mormont, and Missandei gather in the throne room of Meereen.
Tyrion comes to Dany and introduces himself to her, and Quentyn asks where he disappeared to.
And Sam's character should progress, not regress. Sam should mature and level up, as it was in the books. He should get into a fight with those Watchers who harassed Gilly.
Sam hires himself out as a sailor on a ship bound for Oldtown and sails away with Gilly.
Of course, one of the season highlights... was completely pointless and served no logical purpose other than... shock value and character assassination.
Prince Trystane visits Myrcella, who has part of her face bandaged. Tristane explains the feud between the Martells and Lannisters. Trystane promises her that she will not be harmed, and Myrcella weeps bitterly for the grief her family has brought to Dorne. Trisane comforts his girlfriend.
Tyrion offers to wait, while Jorah volunteers to go find her. Quentyn wants to go with him, but Jorah refuses and asks him to go home.
This scene shows the depth of Alliser Thorne's character, Jon's emotionality, and the civil unrest at Castle Black that was in the books but not in the TV series. The Night's Watch brothers shouldn't be so cold about killing the Lord Commander who knew about the Army of the Dead, who tried to save people so the Others would have fewer Wights, who fought off the Wildling attacks in the Season 4 finale, and who turned out to be right.
Tyrion, Quentyn and his men, and Jorah board a ship and sail to Meereen. Along the way, Tyrion becomes close to Quentyn and Jorah. Quentyn jokes that his sister wanted revenge on the Lannisters, and now he is guarding one such Lannister. Tyrion asks why he went to Meereen, and Quentyn explains that his father wants to offer an alliance to Daenerys and he is his envoy. Quentyn says that Jorah is a great fighter and thanks him for saving his life. Jorah waves it off and notices the marks of Greyscale on his wrist.
It's very easy to do. The sparrows, at Cersei's instigation, search the Queen's chambers and discover moon tea, a means of terminating a pregnancy. This evidence serves as a pretext for Margaery's arrest.
Jon must die not because he let the wildlings beyond the Wall, but because he wanted to go to Winterfell to rescue Stannis and his sister.
After Drogon lands, Daenerys must search for food, and there should be five or six Dothraki at most. Daenerys' fate must remain unknown, whether she was captured by the Dothraki or not.
Also, I would add some scenes of Sansa in Brienne and Podrick's company walking around White Harbor, buying supplies, looking at ships from distant lands, meeting with traders, and also tricking people who are trying to trick her, thus slowly turning her into a player in the big game.
Also, you can add Lord Manderly and Lord Glover, as well as Lady Dustin, to show that not all Northerners are happy with the Boltons, because they swore allegiance to the Starks. Their scenes don't require much screen time and the story will have more meaning and depth.
Myrcella must understand at the last moment that they want to make her Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, and not kill her out of revenge against the Lannisters.
Littlefinger must visit Winterfell as an emissary for his stepson Robin Arryn, and also find out what the Boltons are planning and who they are.
It would make more sense, plus those scenes with the Boltons could involve Mance and Stannis' six men as the musicians invited to the wedding.
Nobody beats Arya when she learns to lie.
Phew, that seems to be it. The plots of seasons six, seven and eight can be developed from this season, echoing the books and making up some ideas. The most important thing is to not stop giving logic here and the time narrative should not suffer, as it has suffered since the fifth season of the TV series.
Bronn must appear only once, when Kevan Lannister offers him to be his niece's champion in the Trial by Combat. Bronn must refuse, because he now has too much to lose.
The Sand Snakes enter Myrcella's chambers, put her to sleep, and then carry her out.
Instead, I believe Littlefinger should send Sansa, Brienne, and Podrick, and his men to White Harbor. Yes, I said it, White Harbor. Sansa's entire arc in Season 5 should be about her recovering and playing games with Littlefinger.
Sam gets into a fight with the sailors of the ship he was sailing on, and they throw him and Lilly out. Later, Sam meets Arya, who helps him up after a fight, but does not know who she is, Arya introduces herself to him as a false person.
Before Daenerys leaves on her dragon, Quentyn Martell is seen as a guest with Dany and Hizdahr.
Tyrion points out that it will be difficult for them to reach Pentos without a ship. Illyrio suggests heading back to Volantis, and Jorah is released on the condition that he does not try to escape or kidnap Tyrion. The company sets off towards the overland trade route, hoping to meet a Trade Caravan.
And yes, Theon should run with Jeyne Poole, not Sansa. Mance could meet his end there, and Ramsay would have an excuse to send a note to Jon at the Wall.
In Tolos, the troupe puts on a show, earns some money, then Illyrio announces that he must sail back to Pentos to "take care of some business." He bids farewell to his travelers and, along with Jon Connington, he leaves Tolos.
Stannis should not go straight to Winterfell, but instead go through the Northern houses and Mountain Clans to enlist their support and rally their men, and then liberate Deepwood.
The next day, Grey Worm dies in Missandei's arms, and Dany orders them to find out who the Sons of the Harpies are.
Loras Tyrell is going with the Tyrell Army to march with Jaime. Therefore, he cannot be arrested for sodomy (Which in principle cannot happen, since Loras is of noble blood and a member of one of the most powerful families).
The purpose of this line is to extend Sansa's screen time and give the Boltons more time, and also, drama for drama's sake, shock value for shock value's sake. This scene makes no sense, neither logically, politically, nor in terms of plot.
Littlefinger must also work with the Lords of the Vale of Arryn, who have not acknowledged him as their liege. The only question is how he will do it.
Also, Missandei needs to help Grey Worm learn to write. If you're building a romance between them, you have to start somewhere.
In general, it is not clear why Stannis took his women and his Red Priestess with him. It does not make sense. Taking your Queen and your Heir to War is the highest degree of idiocy.
Sansa shouldn't marry Ramsay.
When Tyrion and Jorah enter the arena, Quentyn recognizes them and asks how they got there. He asks Dany to give them a word. Tyrion explains that he is a gift from Jorah. Dany looks at him coldly, and Jorah realizes that she has not forgiven him and decides to fight.
Samwell Tarly must be sent to Oldtown by Jon, not on Sam's own advice. Maester Aemon must go there too, along with Gilly and her son.
Tyrion should go to Meereen with Illyrio, not Varys.
As Selyse leaves Castle Black for the Nightfort (as in the books), a messenger arrives from Winterfell, who delivers a note from Ramsay, which Jon reads himself and then gives to Selyse. The grief-stricken Queen leaves Castle Black, but does not say anything to her daughter for now.
Jon should send Tormund beyond the wall, not go there himself.
Tristane must be constantly on guard and look around to see if anyone is nearby.
At first, Arya's task is simply to walk around Braavos, learn people's secrets, listen to their conversations. It can be made so that Arya is simply fishing in a random place and eavesdropping on what people are talking about.
Braavosi speak their own language, not the Common Tongue (English).
You might not have arranged marriages like Selyse did in the books, but... you could have Selyse act like a Queen. Demand privacy, an order at Castle Black, or demand one of abandoned Castles on the Wall so she could feel safe. To one of these castles Selyse could go, along with Shireen and Melisandre, as well as six hundred soldiers of Stannis's army, to ensure the safety of her and her daughter.
On the way to Meereen, the ship is attacked by Pirates.
At the Water Gardens, Doran berates Arianne for her reckless actions, reprimanding her, and reminding her that she must rule Dorne after he dies. He expresses disappointment in his daughter, before mentioning that a good ruler must be not only decisive, but also far-sighted. Doran goes on to explain that he had been planning his plot against the Lannisters for a long time and had not been sitting idle. At this point, Varys appears at the palace and apologizes for arriving so late. He also inquires about the health of Princess Myrcella. Arianne is shocked and Doran smirks.
Varys must travel back to Westeros to observe how events unfold.
Ellaria Sand may be heartbroken over the loss of the man she loved, but she won't take the path of revenge because Oberyn died because of revenge.
Doran Martell must be concerned about Myrcella's safety and demand that Hotah be on guard not only in words but also in deeds.
And Cersei should at least pretend to stand up for Margaery, and not look like she planned everything herself.
In one of my answers, I noted that Petyr Baelish is the smartest and most cautious man in all of Westeros, perhaps only Varys can compete with him. Let him remain in character.
Of course, not all Wildlings agree to this. Within a few hours, a couple thousand wildlings are transported to the Watch ships. Mostly women, children and old people. And also a few hundred men. Later, the Others attack Hardhome. There's no battle with the Other in my version, so... bite me. Ollie is horrified. He watches from the ship as the colossal Army of the Dead devours everyone who was there. Alliser Thorne, Tormund and the four Watchers who went ashore manage to escape with the last ones, as in the original episode, covered by the Giant Wun-Wun. Thorne watches in horror as the Great Other resurrects tens of thousands of the dead.
Essos. Tyrion, Varys.
